Someone who says this out loud might be regarded with a little bit of suspicion. But the idea that God communicates with people is actually one of the key concepts of the Bible. He wants to be heard and understood, and He used the various writers of the Bible to record His message.

God compares His message to various images-- sometimes forceful, like a blazing fire or a relentless hammer, and sometimes tender, like seeds or water. Whatever our mood or need, the Bible has something to say to us.

The Bible writers bring big ideas about God-- His perfection as well as His love-- into everyday focus. There's always something new to think about.
